Kenjutsu, or "The Sword Techniques", is divided into multiple different schools.
Each school of Kenjutsu specializes in Sword Techniques of one element.
The Kenjutsu Schools are listed below.
- Wind Style
- Water Style
- Lightning Style
- Fire Style
- Earth Style
Each School of Kenjutsu has one or more Sub-Styles derived from the parent style.
There are also unofficial Compund Styles which combine elements from multiple
styles, however compounding styles is generally frowned upon.
There is also a few forbidden styles, which are too dangerous to be used or too
powerful to be used.
To be recognized as a Master, one must Master all existing techniques within the
style and develop a new, original technique. If the existing Master, or in their absence
the 5 Highest Ranked users of the style, accept the Technique then it will be added to
the style and it's creator will be recognized as the a Master.
Multiple Masters of any given style can exist at the same time, if so all Masters must agree
before a technique can be added.
The Lightning Style of kenjutsu is one of the oldest schools of Kenjutsu. It is also
the only style to have virtually gone extinct. Since, as of the time of writing this, all
known users have died and there are no masters left to teach the style.
The previous masters of the Lightning Style are as follow:
- 1st Master, Hajime Raiden
- 2nd Master, Lee Jinrai
- 3rd Master, Victor Volturi
- 4th Master, Ken Io
- 5th Master, Zetsu Agama
- 6th Master, Nio Sumire
- 7th Master, Alice Rovkonov
- 8th Master, Edward Blackburn
- 9th Master, Tensei Kirigaya
- 10th Master, Havik
- 11th Master, Riko Homura
- 12th Master, Albert Tidus
- 13th Master, Roshan Shalim III
- 14th Master, Hakuro Rei
- 15th Master, Loperax
Each Master, following Tradition has contributed a technique to the Lightning Style. In
Kenjutsu, each Technique is prefixed with 'Ken', so 'Ken One' is 'Sword One'.
All the Techniques within the Lightning Style are listed below!
- Ken One: Thunderclap
"Calls in a single lightning bolt from above following a downward slash."
- Ken Two: Charge Echo
"Creates an afterimage of the user's last position using lightning."
- Ken Three: Volt Break

with double the strength!"
- Ken Four: Ion Shield
"Creates a barrier of electricity around the user, stunning all enemies who come
into contact with it."
- Ken Five: Lightning Draw
"Draws the blade directly from the sheathe with lightning fast speed. Nigh unblockable."
- Ken Six: Stun Shock
"Hits the target with the pommel of the sword and stuns them by sending a shock
through their nervous system."
- Ken Seven: Overcharge
"Charges Lighting through the blade with excess, rendering it able to insta-kill
for a short duration of time. Has to be manually dispelled, if not it starts to
destroy the blade."
- Ken Eight: Kirin
"Supercharged version of Thunderclap, takes the form of multiple bolts of lightning
striking down. Can only be triggered while Overcharge is in effect."
